Filmmakers Jenna Close and Jon Held of P2 Photography have created "Buck the Cubicle", an absolutely wonderful series spotlighting creative occupations that are practiced far from any kind of office. In the second episode of the series, artist Bruce Gardner demonstrates the meditative practice of hikaru dorodango, an art in which a perfect sphere is formed and shined using only earth and water.

Bruce Gardner excels at the Japanese art of Hikaru Dorodango, or "Shiny Dumpling". He first learned about the practice from the sci-fi writer William Gibson, and the rest is history. Bruce is based in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The first episode of the series focused on the incredible recycled art of California metal sculptor Derek McDonald.

Derek McDonald makes his art by welding together the recycled material he finds all over Orange County, CA.
