Arizona Coyotes defenseman Michael Stone underwent surgery Friday to repair ACL and MCL injuries, and will miss a minimum of six months, head coach Dave Tippett announced Saturday.
The 25-year-old was hurt near the end of a 2-1 win on March 26 against the Philadelphia Flyers, in which he was credited with the game-winning goal.
Stone's season ends prematurely with a career-high 36 points in 75 games.
Tippett expects to have fellow defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson back in the lineup Saturday against the Washington Capitals after missing one game due to illness.
