The Backyard Scientist and Mark Rober recently teamed up to test the strength of oobleck (a combination of corn starch and water) and give viewers tips on surviving a grenade blast. The pair put oobleck through some extreme tests by attacking it with a chainsaw, bb gun, and a propane-powered golf ball canon to see if it would behave as a liquid or solid.
For their grenade video, they test whether a person would be safer from a grenade blast on land or under water using balloons filled with a combination of air and water to stand in for humans.
