Chimera, A Colorful Interpretive Dance In Which Performers Appear to Multiply From Each Other

Filmmaker Steven Briand has captured the colorful, kaleidoscopic nature of a modern interpretive dance based up on the myth of the Chimera. Moving through the creative choreography of Cathy Ematchoua, the brightly clad dancers appear to multiply from one another and then disappear into one just as easily, as if they were many heads upon one body.

Myth-inspired choreography brings dancers together in kaleidoscopic movement. Inspired by the mythological chimera-a fierce hybrid of a lion and a goat with a snake's head for a tail-director Steven Briand's balletic short sees dancers merge three unique movement styles through a single sequence, all choreographed by MIA collaborator Cathy Ematchoua.
