The Winnipeg Jets have signed forward Shawn Matthias to a two-year, $4.25-million contract.
Matthias suited up in 71 games between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Colorado Avalanche last season, totaling 12 goals and 16 assists.
He has proven to be a reliable depth player throughout his career, and brings size and speed to the Jets' lineup.
