The hockey world, like the rest of America, was shocked and saddened by the shootings that left five officers dead following a police brutality protest in Dallas on Thursday night.

The Dallas Stars' Twitter account sent out a heartfelt message early Friday morning.

Deepest sympathies to all those affected in Dallas tonight. Our thoughts and prayers are with DART PD and Dallas PD.
