You Can Now Apply to Bid for .blog Domain Names

Automattic is has announced the release of their new TLD (top-level domain) .blog. Interested parties can apply for .blog domain names through get.blog. The extension will officially be added on November 21, 2016, and potential buyers have until November 9, 2016 to apply to claim their domain early. WordPress founder Matt Mullenweg has set one up for his personal blog.
