Kevin Bacon Performs as Tom Petty in a Humorous First Draft of Free Fallin’ Entitled ‘Free Horses’
In the humorous Tonight Show sketch series "First Drafts of Rock", actor and musician Kevin Bacon demonstrated his talent for impersonation by performing as the incomparable Tom Petty in the first draft of "Free Fallin'", which started out as "Free Horses". Host Jimmy Fallon played the role of guitarist Mike Campbell, who was more than ready to sing the chorus whenever it came around.
