Jewish Labour MP: Corbyn must name and shame online abusers

Ruth Smeeth, who has had 25,000 'vile' messages, says leader must do more than condemn those who claim to act in his name

A Jewish Labour MP says she has received more than 25,000 messages of abuse, and called on Jeremy Corbyn to name and shame the worst perpetrators who claimed to be acting in his name.

Ruth Smeeth, the MP for Stoke-on-Trent North, said she received the messages after the launch of Shami Chakrabarti's report into antisemitism within the party, at which she urged the Labour leader to do more to tackle abuse.
