YouTube has launched a Community tab feature to let channels share more content and better interact with viewers from directly within the YouTube platform. In the past, channels would have to create separate websites or social media accounts to do anything but post videos or comments, but will now be able to share text, live videos, and images in their Community tab.

The feature was developed in collaboration with several popular channels including Vlogbrothers, who announced the feature and their own upcoming project "100 Days" which will make use of the Community tab as a central part of its implementation.

Your bond with your viewers is deep. You've grown up together, laughed together, and done incredible things together, from shifting attitudes about gay rights to volunteering millions of dollars toward important charitable causes. Today, we're introducing a beta version of a new product to help strengthen the bond between you and your viewers, called YouTube Community.
