In 2010, X24Cellophane posted a very informative video that showed how exactly a eierschalensollbruchstellenverursacher (soft-boiled eggshell cracker) works. The cleverly designed kitchen gadget gently cups top of the egg while an attached weight is dropped from above, forming a perfect circle in the delicate shell.
Place egg in an egg cup, with the narrow end of the egg upwards "Place the Egg topper on the egg" Let the ball drop from the top of the rod"Remove the topper, leaving your egg with a perfect circular crack. "This topper may be used on both raw or boiled eggs; raw eggs for baking or simply to fry.
The ierschalensollbruchstellenverursacher is far more elegant than the television advertised EZ Cracker.
