While exploring a low-tide pool in Haines, Alaska, the inquisitive Coyote Peterson of Brave Wilderness turned over rocks and dragged his net to located and examine the local fauna. Among his discoveries were a sand flea, a giant Nereid worm and a school of remarkable goby fish who have the ability to breathe outside of water.

On this episode of Beyond the Tide, Coyote and the Brave Wilderness crew explore the tidal pools of Mud Bay in Haines, Alaska! This tidal mud flat is home to all sorts of amazing sea creatures including isopods, nereid worms, and even air breathing fish! Some of them are so bizarre you have to see them to believe it!
