A Determined Engineer Creates a Clever Watch to Help Designer With Parkinson’s Disease Draw Again

When graphic designer Emma Lawton was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, she was of the belief that she would never write her name, let alone draw again due to her tremors. Luckily, engineer Haiyan Zhang of the BBC Two program BigLifeFix was determined to find a way reunite Lawton her favorite activity. The result - a wristband named after Lawton that confuses her brain by vibrating in the opposite direction of her tremors. .

When Emma Lawton was 29 she was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.
As a graphic designer, drawing is a huge part of her life but over the past three years the tremor in her hands has grown more pronounced stopping her from writing and drawing straight lines. Enter Haiyan Zhang and her invention that is changing Emma's life.
