Capitals' social media night takes awkward turn

Twitter isn't the best venue when tone is required.
The Washington Capitals were reminded of that Saturday night, when their social media staff had an awkward exchange with a fan who used the club's hashtag du jour to tweet a selfie.
Despite its clear use of the "smirking face" emoji, the team was predictably roasted, but responded by claiming it was all in good fun.
Emily may not have been entirely convinced.
It wouldn't be Twitter without the occasional misunderstanding, but this one ended on a comedic note.
