In the lead-up to Donald Trump's inauguration as the 45th president of the United States on Friday, the Guardian is running 24 hours of live uninterrupted digital coverage focused on climate change, and what you can do to help the planet. Trump, who is openly skeptical that climate change is caused by humans and has appointed many climate change deniers and sceptics to cabinet positions, comes into office as 2016 was declared the hottest year on record.
