I was initially interested in this announcement, but further investigation revealed it to be a terrible marketing cash-in. HMD Global already released the Nokia 150 late last year, and it is a better phone. It seems to me that the market is ready or will soon be for the slate meme to recede, and a real, decent feature phone could carve out a significant niche for itself. This, however a 2G-only phone with only 16MB of storage? Are you kidding? Not even hipsters will take this seriously. I suspect it will be forgotten before it even launches.
