Ekblad injured on hit by Lightning's Dumont

This is just about the last thing the struggling Florida Panthers need right now.

Aaron Ekblad left Saturday's game after being crunched into the boards by Tampa Bay Lightning forward Gabriel Dumont.

The Panthers' best young blue-liner was ruled out for the rest of the contest shortly thereafter with what the club deemed an upper-body ailment.

The way Aaron Ekblad's head hit the glass -- and his reaction afterward -- have to think NHL looking at concussion. Not saying he has one...

Ekblad has played every game for the Panthers this season, but the 21-year-old has an injury history that includes a concussion suffered last January and whiplash sustained during the World Cup of Hockey.
