San Diego County health officials have reported forty-two hepatitis A cases since November 2016. This is more than four times the monthly average typically reported. Thirty-six people were hospitalized and two died from the disease. Twenty-three cases are men, and the cases range in age from 26 to 72 years, with an average age of 42 years. ["]
