Economic Theory Really Is Pro-Immigration

There are four economic biases widely held in society, all of which are far from harmless. But the most potentially harmful is the anti-foreign bias. This one underestimates the economic benefits of interaction with foreigners, including immigrants, and leads to protectionism and anti-immigration policies. But even a partial liberalization of immigration restrictions would, in the long-term, contribute to improving the standards of living globally.
