Broadway star Patti LuPone has the best response to the idea of performing for Donald Trump

Asked on the Tonys red carpet why Donald Trump should come see her perform in her current Broadway show War Paint, legendary performer Patti LuPone didn't mince words, noting: "Well I hope he doesn't because I won't perform if he does." When asked why, she calmly explains, "Because I hate the motherfucker, how's that?" You can watch the amazing exchange at the start of this Variety video:

And LuPone might not be exaggerating. She's famous for stopping shows mid-performance to chastise audience members for using their phones or taking pictures. There's every reason to think she'd be equally unequivocal with The Donald.
