Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Lucky Whitehead said Tuesday that his dog, Blitz, had been returned "home safely." The update came one day after Whitehead revealed that Blitz had been stolen and held for ransom, according to ESPN.

"Look who made it home safely!!!" Whitehead posted on Snapchat with a short video of his dog. "THANKS EVERYONE."

Blitz was kidnapped while Whitehead was in Florida, and the pass-catcher subsequently received a call from unknown robbers demanding $10,000 for the return of his dog.

Whitehead said he refused to pay $10,000, but that he did pay an undisclosed amount for the return of Blitz.
