The NFL Players Association has advised its members to begin saving their money in preparation for a possible work stoppage after the 2020 season, but it appears a boycott is much more than just a possibility.

"I think that the likelihood of either a strike or a lockout in '21 is almost a virtual certainty," NFLPA executive director DeMaurice Smith told Albert Breer of The MMQB.

Smith went on to accuse NFL owners of colluding during previous negotiations of the collective bargaining agreement and inferred that certain concessions that were made last time the NFLPA went up against the league won't be made again.

NFL players have spoken out recently about the gulf between player contracts in football and the money being lavished on players in the NBA.
