The Tennessee Titans auctioned off the chance to call the first two plays of their preseason game Saturday against the Carolina Panthers, raising $20,000 in the process.
And the Titans might want to look into adding the first fan to their coaching staff, as Marcus Mariota found Taywan Taylor for 20 yards on an impressive play-action fake to open the game.
The second call, however, while successful, was more questionable. The Titans curiously signed off on the fan calling a read-option play, which resulted in a 9-yard rush from Mariota, whose 2016 season came to an end due to a broken leg.
