Cowboys planning to have Elliott make preseason debut vs. Raiders
Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett said Thursday he's leaning toward allowing Ezekiel Elliott to make his preseason debut in Saturday's game against the Oakland Raiders, according to Drew Davison of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
Garrett added that Elliott will likely play just a few series, and that it will be the running back's only action of the preseason, according to Brandon George of The Dallas Morning News.
It could also be Elliott's only taste of live-action football for a while. He's been suspended for the first six games of the regular season for domestic violence allegations, with his appeal reportedly scheduled for Aug. 29.
