Bengals' Ross exits preseason finale with knee injury
Cincinnati Bengals receiver John Ross left Thursday's final preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts with a left knee injury.
He was ruled questionable to return by the team, but was later seen without his helmet on the sideline. Given his virtually-guaranteed roster spot, Ross is not expected to risk further injury Thursday night.
The ninth overall pick had one catch for 6 yards and one rush for 25 yards before leaving the game. Ross had played in just one other game this preseason, taking his sole rushing attempt for 8 yards last week.
Ross has a history of knee issues, undergoing surgery to repair two meniscus tears in September 2014 and then tearing his ACL a few months later. The Washington product also missed much of the Bengals' offseason dealing with a shoulder injury.
