How do you improve on the winning formula for NFL hype videos? Throw in a lion, that's how!

Tom Brady posted a hype video to Instagram ahead of Thursday's season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Footage of the New England Patriots' dramatic comeback win over the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl LI plays alongside dramatic music and an excerpt from a speech by British philosopher and writer Alan Watts - and, of course, ending with a shot of Brady and then a close-up of a lion.

Is Brady the lion? Are the Patriots the lion? Is the lion, as an endangered species, a metaphor for the NFL as a whole?

Questions we'll likely never get answers to. If only Watts didn't die 44 years ago.
