Arizona Cardinals star running back David Johnson was taken to the locker room near the end of the third quarter Sunday against Detroit Lions due to a wrist injury.

He's questionable to return, the team announced.

Johnson was hurt after being crushed by multiple Lions defenders while attempting to make a catch downfield. He missed one play, but immediately fumbled upon his return and was then taken to the locker room.

Any long-term injury to Johnson would be devastating to the Cardinals, especially with Carson Palmer and the passing game looking out of sync versus Detroit.

Johnson wasn't enjoying his best game before exiting, with 28 rushing yards on 11 carries - though he did haul in six passes for 68 receiving yards.
