Redskins' Reed, Kelley officially ruled inactive vs. Raiders
Washington Redskins tight end Jordan Reed and running back Rob Kelley have been ruled inactive for Sunday night's game against the Oakland Raiders.
Kelley has been suffering from a ribs injury sustained partway through the Week 2 game against the Los Angeles Rams. Reed is dealing with chest and ribs issues.
Rookie running back Samaje Perine and tight end Vernon Davis are expected to step into larger roles as a result. Running back Chris Thompson will still play a significant role as the Redskins' pass-catching back.
Linebacker Mason Foster, defensive back Josh Holsey, guard Tyler Catalina, offensive lineman T.J. Clemmings, and defensive lineman Anthony Lanier have also been ruled out.
