Shocker: The New England Patriots are 2-2.
Thanks to a last-second 48-yard game-winning kick by Graham Gano, the Carolina Panthers handed the Patriots a 33-30 loss, their second home defeat this season.
After trailing for the majority of the contest, the Patriots needed a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns to bring the score even, but the issues that have plagued the defense this season could not be fixed in time to stop one more game-winning drive.
Cam Newton rebounded from a poor start to the season by throwing for 316 yards with three touchdowns, while chipping in with 44 yards on the ground, and a rushing score. Kelvin Benjamin pitched in with 104 yards receiving, while Devin Funchess had the first two-touchdown game of his career.
