Seahawks' Carson suffers significant ankle injury vs. Colts
Seattle Seahawks running back Chris Carson was carted to the locker room with an air cast on his left leg during the fourth quarter of Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts.
Head coach Pete Carroll declined to offer details on the ailment post-game, but conceded that Carson suffered a "significant" injury.
"We don't know if he needs surgery, that kind of stuff, we don't know that yet," Carroll said. "But it's significant. So, we'll see," Carroll said via NFL.com's Jeremy Bergman.
Carson's leg bent awkwardly as he was tackled late in the fourth quarter, and teammates immediately called for the medical staff.
Prior to leaving the game, Carson rushed for 42 yards on 12 carries, adding three receptions for 24 yards.
Eddie Lacy, J.D. McKissic and Thomas Rawls will likely be in the mix for increased carries in Carson's absence.
