DeSean Jackson isn't used to not being the top option in a passing attack.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers receiver hasn't made a major impact on the stat sheet this season and things boiled over Sunday. Jackson admitted he voiced his frustration on the sideline against the New York Giants, where he finished with only two catches.

"It's just part of being a playmaker in this league that wants to make plays," Jackson said, according to Jenna Laine of ESPN. "Anytime I get the opportunity to get the ball, I just want to make good plays and help my team win the game and just create big plays. It was just a part of that."

Bucs quarterback Jameis Winston has leaned on Mike Evans, Adam Humphries, and Cameron Brate in the passing game this season, leaving Jackson to try to find his place in the offense.

"(It's) definitely hard, feeling like being a veteran in this league 10 years in, but I'm not gonna abort ship," Jackson said. "I'll stay on course, stay on plan. Eventually, it will come together. We just gotta continue to go out keep beating, beating away and the things you need to do to get better."

Jackson has topped 1,000 yards receiving in three of the past four seasons and, despite having a long way to go to reach that mark in 2017, the veteran is hopeful he and Winston will eventually build a connection.

"I wish I had the answer for you," Jackson said. "We're professionals. We're NFL players. We get paid to do a job, to go out there and execute the plan. Hopefully it will come together. It's just a work in progress. It's still early in the season, we've played three games. Eventually sooner (rather) than later, we can connect."
