In search of his first win this season, New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning has yet to abandon all hope as October rages onward.

Despite being billed by some as a sleeper Super Bowl contender, the Giants have instead fallen asleep at the wheel, stumbling out of the gate to an 0-4 start.

Manning hasn't given up on his team, however.

"I still think we're a good team," Manning said to Mike Francesa of WFAN.

Despite sporting a -35 point differential, Manning believes the Giants have been merely unlucky.

"We're playing pretty good football, but we're not playing great football," Manning said. "There's not many mistakes being made. Guys are doing the right things. We've just got to do it better."

New York will have a chance to secure its first win Sunday against the also-winless Los Angeles Chargers.
