It is not a coincidence the Cincinnati Bengals have appeared to recover from their early season offensive woes after replacing their offensive coordinator.

After scoring just nine points and no touchdowns through their opening two games - both played at home - the Bengals have put up 55 points in their last two contests. Star receiver A.J. Green believes the change from Ken Zampese to Bill Lazor may have been necessary to snap the Bengals out of their funk.

"I think it woke everybody up," Green told SiriusXM NFL radio. "Everybody had to raise their level of play because we weren't getting the job done as a team.

"And whatever the changes were made, I always said that, 'Play-callers call the plays and the players should be able to run them.' And I'm sticking by that. Everybody got together and everybody had to elevate their game."

Green saw his workload raised drastically in Lazor's first game calling plays, making 10 catches for 111 yards with a touchdown in Week 3 after putting up five grabs in each of the first two contests.

The Bengals have a tough test coming their way with the Buffalo Bills' eighth-ranked defense, which has kept all of its opponents from scoring more than 17 points.
