Report: 49ers shopping NaVorro Bowman
The San Francisco 49ers are looking to trade NaVorro Bowman, and multiple teams are interested in acquiring the four-time All-Pro linebacker, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Bowman - who is coming off a torn Achilles which ended his 2016 season - saw his playing time cut in Week 5.
"I don't like it. Nobody likes coming out of the game, but I'm a team player," Bowman said after Sunday's overtime loss to the Indianapolis Colts, according to Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area.
With rookie Reuben Foster impressing and Ray-Ray Armstrong in the midst of a strong season, Bowman is expendable - especially after an 0-5 start that should have the 49ers focused almost entirely on building for the future.
Any team that is interested in Bowman will have to consider his lengthy injury history. Along with the recent Achilles issue, Bowman sustained a devastating knee injury in the NFC title game in January 2014, tearing his ACL and MCL.
