Patriots rookie Langi hospitalized after car accident
New England Patriots rookie linebacker Harvey Langi was involved in a car accident Friday in Foxborough that required him to be hospitalized, the team announced Saturday.
"We are aware of the traffic accident involving Harvey Langi and a passenger last night in Foxborough," the Patriots said in a statement. "The two were stopped at a traffic light when they were rear-ended by another vehicle. They were both transported to a local hospital with injuries and are receiving medical attention. Our thoughts are with Harvey, the Langi family, and those who sustained injuries in last night's accident."
The passenger was Langi's wife, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter and Mike Reiss. Schefter adds that "there are serious injuries, but not life-threatening."
An undrafted free agent out of Brigham Young, Langi has appeared in one game this season. He's already been ruled out of the Week 6 tilt against the New York Jets with what the Patriots are calling a back injury.
