In June 2017, Veritasium, host Derek Muller explained the science behind Schlieren imaging, the specific process by which those things that are normally invisible to the naked eye reveal themselves to be present. Muller has since expanded this fascinating project, using cellophane filters and a flaming ping pong ball to add brilliant color to his generated wave.
