Report: Texans to consider making team demonstration after owner's 'inmate' comment
The Houston Texans will meet as a team Saturday to discuss whether to make a demonstration ahead of Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks, an offensive starter told Josina Anderson of ESPN.
On the subject of player protests during the national anthem, team owner Bob McNair said "we can't have inmates running the prison" at league meetings, ESPN's Seth Wickersham and Don Van Natta Jr. reported Friday.
Texans players responded negatively to the comment. Star receiver DeAndre Hopkins reportedly didn't attend practice because of it and the rest of the team considered walking out as well.

McNair has since apologized for the remark, stating he was, "using a figure of speech that was never intended to be taken literally."
