Newton on Benjamin trade: 'Some things you will never understand'
The Carolina Panthers shocked the NFL world at the trade deadline Tuesday by sending Kelvin Benjamin to the Buffalo Bills, leaving Cam Newton without his top receiver.
Newton posted a picture of himself, Benjamin, and former Panthers quarterback Joe Webb on Instagram on Tuesday following the blockbuster move, with a caption that read: "Some things you will never understand! Damn I miss my dogs!"

Carolina received a significant haul for Benjamin - a third- and seventh-round pick - but the short-term damage to the passing game could be significant.
Newton was already in the midst of an underwhelming campaign and will now have to find a way to get the stagnant Panthers offense back on track without the man who was leading the team in receiving yards.
