Russell Wilson cleared up any confusion about a possible head injury after Thursday's game against the Arizona Cardinals.

The Seattle Seahawks quarterback was pulled from the game by the referee to undergo concussion tests during the second half, but Wilson barely entered the sideline tent before returning to the field for the next play. Wilson explained the situation to the media in his postgame interview.

"I got smacked in the jaw pretty good there. I wasn't concussed or anything like that. I felt completely clear," Wilson said, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

"I think I was laying on the ground for a second just trying to feel my jaw and I think (referee Walt Anderson) thought maybe I was a little injured or something like that. I told him I was good, I was good and he said you got to come off."

Wilson commended the referee for his actions and said he eventually underwent thorough concussion tests.

"We went through every question you can imagine. I answered even some more for them just so they knew I was good and then went back in there," he said.

It's welcome news for the Seahawks that Wilson escaped serious injury after star corner Richard Sherman ruptured his Achilles and no fewer than seven other Seahawks picked up injuries in the game.
