Jets' Forte ruled out vs. Buccaneers with knee injury

Matt Forte won't be able to improve on his best performance of the season this week. The New York Jets have ruled the veteran running back out for Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers due to a nagging knee injury.
Forte hasn't participated in practice all week. He's been shelved since registering season-high totals in carries (14), rushing yards (77), and touchdowns (two) in last Thursday's win over the Buffalo Blls.
Bilal Powell figures to get all of the backfield duties against the Buccaneers.
