The Dallas Cowboys are in the middle of a playoff race, sitting one game back of the final wild-card spot. They have seven games left to try and corral a berth into the postseason, and they'll have to go the next five weeks without Ezekiel Elliott.

Nonetheless, quarterback Dak Prescott feels it's an ideal time for his running back to be serving his six-game suspension for violating the league's policy on personal conduct.

"I think for the most part, it's great for him to get it out of the way," Prescott said to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. "What's done is done. Now he can move forward and become a better player because of it and this team can become a better team because of it."

Elliott's suspension began last week and the Cowboys suffered their first loss since Week 5 when they dropped a 27-7 decision to the Atlanta Falcons.

Stepping into the starting lineup, Alfred Morris took 11 carries for 53 yards. Prescott ranked as the second-leading rusher with 42 yards and an 11-yard touchdown scamper.

They'll look to get back on track in the Week 11 Sunday night matchup against the NFC-leading Philadelphia Eagles.
