Browns' Jackson confirms Gordon will start in 1st game since 2014
Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson confirmed Thursday that wide receiver Josh Gordon will be a starter in his first game since 2014 following multiple suspensions for violating the league's substance-abuse policy.
"Are you kidding me? Yeah, he's going to start," Jackson replied, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
The coach also said Monday that his team has "big plans" for Gordon in Sunday's matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Gordon last suited up in 2014 and led the league in receiving the year before. The 0-11 Browns are likely hoping the pass-catcher can rediscover his Pro Bowl-level form quickly to help boost their 25th-ranked passing game.
