Report: Revis to make NFL return Sunday vs. former team
Darrelle Revis' debut with the Kansas City Chiefs will come against one of his former employers.
Revis, who signed with the Chiefs nearly two weeks ago, will suit up for the first time this season in Sunday's game against the New York Jets, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
The 10-year veteran had two stints with the Jets, totaling eight campaigns.
Revis was released by New York after a terrible 2016 season and spent nearly 10 months out of football before the Chiefs came calling.
The Jets cut Revis just two years into a five-year, $70-million contract. His deal with the Chiefs is for two years and $11 million.
In a strange twist, Revis will actually be paid more by the Jets to play against the Jets on Sunday.
Darrelle Revis will be paid more by the #Jets today to play against them than he will be paid by the #Chiefs. (about $300K vs 60K)
