Browns' Joe Thomas vows to buy Panthers if he gets 1 million retweets

Cleveland Browns offensive tackle Joe Thomas wants to be the next owner of the Carolina Panthers.

Following Monday's announcement that Jerry Richardson plans to put the Panthers up for sale amid sexual and racial misconduct allegations, Thomas said he'll buy the team if he gets one million retweets.

Thomas was, of course, just joking. He has a base salary of $10.3 million for 2018, while the Panthers are expected to be sold for upwards of $2 billion.
