The Green Bay Packers placed quarterback Aaron Rodgers on injured reserve Tuesday.

Rodgers returned to action Sunday against the Carolina Panthers, his first game since breaking his collarbone in Week 6. The Packers lost 31-24 while Rodgers went 26-for-45 for 290 yards, three touchdowns, and three interceptions.

Green Bay was officially eliminated from playoff contention when the Atlanta Falcons defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday night.

Rodgers finished the season completing 64.7 percent of his passes for 1,675 yards, 16 touchdowns, and six interceptions.

Brett Hundley will likely finish the season as the team's starting quarterback.

In a corresponding move, the Packers signed quarterback Joe Callahan.
