One of the top quarterback prospects in the country is officially headed to the NFL, as Wyoming star Josh Allen declared for the draft immediately after winning the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl on Friday.

Allen certainly ended his collegiate career in style, turning in one of his best performances of the year in the win over Central Michigan. The 6-foot-5, 233-pounder threw three touchdowns and flashed his excellent arm strength throughout the contest.

The junior is an incredibly intriguing draft prospect with comparisons ranging from Ben Roethlisberger to Jake Locker. He's widely-projected as a first-round pick, with some pundits listing him as a potential top-five selection.

While Allen's physical traits are impressive, his play left a lot to be desired in his final collegiate season. Heading into Friday's game, Allen had completed just 56 percent of his passes on the season, with 13 touchdowns against six interceptions.

While Allen played well against similar opponents to Wyoming, he struggled mightily against Power 5 competition. In games against Iowa and Oregon this season, he completed just 50 percent of his passes and threw three interceptions with no touchdowns.

One of the teams that appears to be interested in Allen is the Denver Broncos, as John Elway was on the sidelines Friday to get a close look at the intriguing prospect.
