Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle Gerald McCoy is heading to his sixth consecutive Pro Bowl but could use some help during the regular season.

The Buccaneers slumped to a 5-11 record while the rest of their NFC South counterparts made the playoffs. Although McCoy continues to excel as one of the NFL's best defensive tackles, he campaigned for two more elite defenders to join his team.

"Mike Bennett, Aqib Talib. I want to get all the guys back together," McCoy said via Mark Cook of Pewter Report. "When (free agents) come into our building, whatever made you a champion, or whatever made you who you are, bring that. Show us what it takes to be a champion, show us what it takes to be successful. Because most of the guys we are going to bring in are going to be playoff players. Have been in the playoffs. Had success. Have rings. Been to a Super Bowl, or have been deep in the playoffs. Bring that. Show us what it takes to get there. We have to get there."

McCoy, Bennett, and Talib played together for the Buccaneers from 2010-12. Bennett began his career with the Seattle Seahawks, featured for Tampa Bay between 2009-12, and rejoined the Seahawks to become an integral part of their defense. Talib was drafted 20th overall in 2008 by the Buccaneers before signing with the New England Patriots in 2013, then joined the Denver Broncos in 2014.

A reuniting of three premier defensive players would be an excellent start for the Buccaneers, who are chasing the rest of the powerhouse NFC South.
