There will be no greased light poles in Philadelphia during Super Bowl LII.

Philadelphia police used Crisco to deter Eagles fans from climbing the poles following the team's NFC Championship win over the Minnesota Vikings, but people still found a way up.

As a result, the poles will remain ungreased Sunday, although police suggested they'll employ a new strategy to stop climbers.

"Some of them will be far more difficult than the Crisco attempt. We're trying to keep people safe," Philadelphia police commissioner Richard Ross told reporters Tuesday, according to CBS Philly.

The department will also be ramping up police presence around Frankford and Cottman Avenues.

"We will be ready," Ross said. "We will be out there with a sizable contingent of officers that will be seen by most and we will make every effort to know that we are about business, but we are also the business of allowing people to celebrate as long as it's done peacefully."
