Report: Raiders plan to keep Crabtree despite hefty salary

The Oakland Raiders don't plan on releasing veteran receiver Michael Crabtree regardless of his lofty salary for the upcoming season, sources told Vic Tafur of The Athletic.
The 30-year-old is scheduled to earn $7.5 million in 2018. With none of it guaranteed, it's still possible the Raiders could cut him later in the offseason or during training camp.
Crabtree managed just 618 yards receiving last season, though he also contributed eight touchdowns. It was a major step down from the 1,003 yards and eight scores Crabtree hauled in two campaigns ago.
