LSU's D.J. Chark led the way at the outset of the 40-yard dash with a time of 4.34 seconds. Texas A&M standout Christian Kirk wasn't far behind, clocking in at a time of 4.47.

A number of other top receiver prospects helped their draft stock on Saturday as well. Calvin Ridley ran an impressive 4.43 40-yard dash and a 6.88-second 3-cone drill (10th best among WRs). SMU's Courtland Sutton's 10-foot-4 vertical jump ranked sixth at his position, and a top three 3-cone time (6.57 seconds) is impressive considering his 6-foot-4, 218 lb. frame. At 6-foot-5, 214 lbs., Equanimeous St. Brown ran a strong 4.48 40-yard dash.

The marquee group takes the field on Day 2 of the NFL Scouting Combine. Among the quarterback prospects, USC star Sam Darnold opted not to participate in any throwing drills, a move he called "the best decision for me," while Jackson declined to run the 40 after talk of converting to receiver.
